    About Us:

    The Oregon Lottery is a leader in the gaming industry and an important contributor of revenue for the state's schools, economic development, parks, watershed restoration, veteran's programs, and outdoor schools. We are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Intern for a 10-week Summer internship opportunity!

    About the Role:

    As the Procurement and Contracts Intern you will collaborate with our Procurement and Contracts team to improve processes and efficiencies for our enterprise-wide procurement program.

     

    You Will:

    • Conduct research and analyze data looking at an enterprise-wide spend analysis.
    • Identify types of purchases/agreements we enter on an annual basis, and compile a list of nationally recognized codes to be utilized as standard for Lottery purchases.
    • Research and identify departmental process improvement opportunities, and develop tools to assist our staff in conducting daily business operations.
    • Apply Lottery Management Core Values and Expectations in performing daily activities. Ensure conduct embodies the principles of fairness, integrity, security, and honesty. Support and integrate into your work the Lottery's commitment to:

    You Have:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in a college degree program. (Note: Must still be enrolled in school at the time of the summer internship.)
    • Minimum average GPA of 2.5 or degree program requirement, if applying for academic credit.

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • Coursework in Logistics, Business Administration, Analytics, Law, English, or related
    • Analytical, curious, problem-solving mindset
    • A self-starter who can work independently and also collaborate effectively with others
