    The Oregon Lottery is a leader in the gaming industry and an important contributor of revenue for the state's schools, economic development, parks, watershed restoration, veteran's programs, and outdoor schools. We are looking for a Security Analyst Intern for a 10-week Summer internship opportunity!

     

    About the Role:

    As the Security Analyst Intern you will collaborate with our Security team members and security analyst to perform professional analysis duties supporting operation, investigative and administrative functionsYou will assist in developing and analyzing data to identify patterns of criminal activity across the portfolio of Lottery products. You'll also assist with the analysis of data to ensure fairness, integrity, honesty, and security of Lottery products. 

     

     

    You Will:

    • Work with our Security Analyst and Security Gaming Analyst on a variety of activities including professional analysis duties supporting operation, investigative and administrative functions.
    • Analyze data to identify patterns of criminal activity across the portfolio of Lottery products.
    • Develop and refine an evidence tracking system for the Security Section.
    • Participate in Chi Square testing to ensure draw randomness, post drawing reviews, and drawings.
    • Apply Lottery Management Core Values and Expectations in performing daily activities. Ensure conduct embodies the principles of fairness, integrity, security, and honesty. Support and integrate into your work the Lottery's commitment to:

    You Have:

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in a college degree program. (Note: Must still be enrolled in school at the time of the summer internship.)
    • Minimum average GPA of 2.5 or degree program requirement, if applying for academic credit.

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • Coursework in Forensic Science, Math, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, or related.
    • Working knowledge of Excel/Access/SharePoint/CRM
    • Ability to adhere to confidentiality expectations
    • Familiarity with Law Enforcement processes and standards
